What is the full form of DIGIPIN?

DIGIPIN stands for Digital Postal Index Number.

It's a new, geo-coded, grid-based digital address system developed by the Department of Posts in collaboration with IIT Hyderabad and NRSC-ISRO. This system provides a standardized, 10-character alphanumeric code to represent a unique location with an accuracy of about 4 meters by 4 meters.
